  • The official minutes from the May meeting were reviewed and approved by all Stewards present.
     
  • The Employer is late with some Step 3 answers as two (2) attorneys have recently left the Sheriff’s Office. The Assistant Chief Steward will monitor the situation to get the answers in a timely fashion.
     
  • The Union expects bids for Street Units will come out approximately two (2) weeks after new class from DOC.  The new class is supposed to start on July 11, 2016.
     
  • An arbitration date is being set for LE training.
     
  • The job specific training grievance was denied and that grievance will also be set for arbitration.
     
  • Roll call visits are being set for September and October.
     
  • Accountings were sent back from Payroll for the deputies that felt their retro was incorrect.
     
  • When a deputy retires, the Steward from that facility or unit should notify the Union. 
     
  • The Social Service grievance was heard at Step 3. If the grievance is denied, the Union intends to inform the Employer they will no longer assign overtime.  There was a vote regarding this issue. The vote was unanimous.
