The official minutes from the July meeting were reviewed and approved by all Stewards present.

  • Stewards should start gathering contract issues/requests from the membership regarding contract negotiations.
  • Assistant Executive Director Shawn Roselieb spoke about the recent binding opinion regarding FOIA requests for “public records” on personal devices. Based on the opinion by the Illinois
  • Attorney General, law enforcement personnel may be required to submit personal emails in which they discussed or conducted public business on their personal devices. The entire article is on the CCCSD/IL FOP LC website.
  • The Social Service/Juvenile Overtime schedule for the upcoming quarter will be handled by Assistant Chief Union Steward Katie Fitzgibbons. The Union continues to negotiate with the Sheriff regarding this issue.
  • There was a round table discussion for each steward to discuss issues at their facility/unit.
