By Tamara Cummings, General Counsel - Sunday, September 10, 2017

On Friday afternoon, September 8, the IL FOP Labor Council learned of discipline being handed down to several of our members resulting from an investigation regarding allegations of tardiness. The following quote by General Counsel, Tamara Cummings, was issued for media dissemination shortly after being notified:

"Several Cook County Court Service employees were interviewed regarding the allegations of tardiness, and literally, as I write this, the discipline is still being handed down.  We have to review any discipline imposed on a case by case basis. Once we complete our review, we are prepared to fight vigorously in any case if we believe discipline is unwarranted or excessive."
